JOVEE is a dating app for those that would rather meet in person instead of chatting endlessly and never meeting. We’re on a mission to stop wasting time and getting things done when it comes to online dating.

+ What makes JOVEE different?

JOVEE is different because it creates the opportunity of actually meeting someone in person within 96 hours. JOVEE goes beyond the process of matching, by selecting venues for your date and setting up a time for you to actually meet in person! Everyone on JOVEE cuts out the endless virtual communication and influences members to actually meet at a suitable time and at an ambient location.

+ How do I use JOVEE?

JOVEE connects you to other people who are looking to go on a date ranging from immediately matching to 96 hours (4 days) after a match. JOVEE will show you potential matches based on your radius and also other search criteria like age, height, education, race, and lifestyle. This helps you match your exact preference of choice. If you say “yes” or click on the orange heart sign to someone and they do the same, it’s a match! You will then be able to chat with your match in a chatroom. Once in the chatroom, either party can schedule a JOVEE date from various date categories (Restaurants, Cafe, Nightlife, Museums, Galleries, Outdoors, Parks, Cinema). Under each category is a list of venues that you can select and send your match for approval of the date. Once the JOVEE date is set, JOVEE will send reminders before the date to remind you of your upcoming date, and both parties can begin their journeys to the JOVEE date for the venue selected. Both can see how far you are from the venue as well as see how far your match is from the venue. On arrival, JOVEE lets your match know you have arrived eliminating the chances of being stood up or ghosted.

JOVEE is available in major urban cities and connects a community of users to meet in real life.

+ How do I match with people if I am not swiping?

JOVEE believes in creating intentional connections. This is why instead of swiping endlessly, you’ll have the option to press if you’re interested and if you’re not.

+ How does JOVEE suggest locations?

JOVEE date locations are broken down into 8 categories (Restaurants, Cafe, Nightlife, Museums, Galleries, Outdoors, Parks, Cinema). Users can choose from the curated list of nearby places within chosen categories and learn more about a certain venue by checking out reviews and photos.

+ How do I set my availability?

After setting up your account, simply click on the ‘’Set my availability’’ button and choose the day and time you’re available to go on a date that week. You can always change this in case your schedule changes!

+ Can others see my availability?

+ How do I know someone sent me a date proposal?

If someone sends you a date proposal, you’ll receive a notification so you can check the details and accept or not!

+ Can I reschedule my date?

Yes, we know sometimes things happen so you’ll be able to reschedule. When you reschedule, your date will receive the new details. We also hope you checked in with them first about rescheduling!

+ What if i want to cancel?

You’ll be able to cancel your date, but be mindful that if you cancel 3 dates within the same month you will be temporarily banned. No one wants their time wasted!

+ How will my date know I’m on the way?

Your date will be notified via JOVEE notification or you can always send them a message through our Chat feature. They can also see how far you are from the venue from the date distance screen.

+ Is JOVEE safe?

JOVEE values safety. When signing up JOVEE uses a two-step verification process. We have also implemented a feature where you can share your date details via SMS with trusted friends and loved ones. You can also report users for inappropriate online and offline behaviour. We’re also currently working on more safety features to add in the upcoming versions to deter bad behaviour.

+ What happens after 96 hours?

If a date hasn’t been set in the 96-hour window or no chat has been initiated by either party, the match will disappear from your match

+ If I match with multiple people, do I have to go on a date with all of them?

Not unless you want to! You only go on dates with people that you’ve chatted with and decided to meet.

+ What if I want to go somewhere that’s not on your list of suggested places?

You can choose somewhere that is not on the SKWSH suggested places by simply entering the name or address of the place you already have in mind.

+ What if I don’t want to share my location with my match?

JOVEE does not share your location to your match or any other user at any given time. JOVEE only shares the duration (km) away from date venues with your match.

+ What if my date doesnt show up?

If your date doesn’t show, first off - we apologize. JOVEE is about meeting new people and connecting, not being stood up. That being said, the first thing you can do is let us know at hello@getjovee.co. You’ll also be able to give us feedback in the app after each date, and let us know if your date didn’t show. Second, we hope that that lame person doesn’t discourage you from JOVEE next time.
